Creative Resilience: A Somatic Writing Workshop
Creative Resilience: A Somatic Writing Workshop
Join creative artists and veteran teachers Nellie Hermann & Justine Wolf Williams (bio below) for a Somatic Grief Writing Workshop this spring! In this workshop, we will explore the concept of Creative Resilience as it applies to moving through the emotional spaces of grief and loss. The workshop will move between embodied explorations and creative writing exercises to examine the fertile creative space of grief, and both personal and collective possibilities for navigating emotional terrain in community.
The workshop will encompass an expansive definition of grief, starting with the awareness that loss is all around us and is particularly present in this cultural moment. The session is appropriate for anyone struggling with any kind of loss, for those who have established creative practices or projects underway, and for those who may be curious to see what this creative work might move in them.
Please do not sign up for this workshop unless you feel you are able to share openly about your loss without doing undue harm to yourself.
